Belonging to Pubansha village under Asureswar gram panchayat, 60-year-old Batakrishna Mandal has given his village crematorium, locally called Padia Danda, a new lease of life. Every month, he spends his pension money to maintain the facility and has been doing so for the last two-and-a-half years.
