Hon’ble President inaugurates International Engineering and Technology Fair 2023

Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu inaugurated International Engineering and Technology Fair (IETF) 2023 edition on 16th February 2023. The event was a celebration of India’s growth in the engineering and manufacturing sector.
Praising India’s development in the last 48 years since the first IETF edition was organized, Smt. Murmu said that the engineering industry has achieved new heights during this period. Today, it is a strong, multi-level, diverse sector of India, contributing significantly to export growth, generating growth, and creating jobs. Recent policy decisions have fueled an unparalleled level of inclusive growth. Increasing economic digitization and social acceptance of this change have unlocked enormous potential and opened up new avenues for rapid growth.
The President further explained India’s mission to expand its global engagement providing excellent manufacturing and the best-quality talent to the world. India has the potential to engage with international stakeholders and boost the economy. This will also help India’s commitment to the green industry to attain the target of net zero emissions by 2070.
IETF 2023 is making a concerted effort in highlighting engineering innovations and technological advancements that support the coexistence of science and nature. The best use of human ingenuity is when it is focused on enhancing the natural world.
