Indian Women’s Cricket Team wins ICC Under-19 T20 World Cup

Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Under-19 Women’s Cricket team on winning the inaugural edition of the U19 women’s cricket World Cup. Expressing his joy, the Prime Minister tweeted “Congratulations to the Indian Team for a special win at the ICC U19 T20 World Cup. They have played excellent cricket and their success will inspire several upcoming cricketers. Best wishes to the team for their future endeavours.”
The Indian team took on England in the final match of the World Cup in which England played the first innings. India’s Titas Sadhu, Archana Devi, and Parshavi Chopra took two wickets each to dismiss England’s team by the 18th over at a score total of 68. In the 2nd innings, Gongadu Trisha and Soumya Tiwari scored runs for India’s U-19 team who chased down the target of 69 runs in the 14th over easily.
