Department of Animal Husbandry Budgam (Nodal Agency for “KisanvSampark Abhiyan” under HADP for District Budgam) in collaboration with other departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Sericulture and Rural Development Department conducted Kisan Sampark Abhiyan under Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) at Hanjura covering 01 panchayat. This orientation program was on 20-11-2023. During the orientation program, 49 videos of schemes under HADP and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes were shown to the farmers across all the venues.
Using audio-visual aids in describing the schemes had a lasting and much more engaging, fascinating effect on the farmers. Besides, a question answer session after each screening session of videos was held to clear the doubts of farmers. The farmers were also provided with pamphlets explaining literature on all schemes in three languages (Hindi, Urdu and English) which also contained the information about the contact details of all the departments.
The farmers were also informed about the mode of application under these schemes using the KISAN SATHI- the IT Dashboard of schemes developed by APD. Regarding skill development, the farmers were also apprised of DAKSH KISAN- a learning management system developed by APD, where 118 skilling courses as per the agro-climatic zones of the UT are available for free to the farmers. A total of 20 Farmers participated in the said event and a baseline survey was collected and uploaded for 15 farmers.
