Under the program of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Panch Pran Pledge ceremony was conducted by Panchayat Khimber in connection with Meri Mati, Mera Desh. The event was held at Panchayat Office: Khimber where the chief guest was DDC Chairperson from Srinagar.
Also, the officials of the Department, the Panchayat Body, Students, and the locals were among the all who were present on the occasion at the venue. In context to the sidelines of the event that was hosted by the Rural Development Department, the welcome address was delivered by the Secretary Panchayat. Later on, the speech was also delivered by the worthy chief guest in which he highlighted the motto of the Meri Mati, Mera Desh campaign.
After that, the Panch Pran Pledge ceremony was organized in which the participants took oath on different points describing to – Safeguard the unity and integrity of India, Safeguarding communal Harmony, keeping the nation clean and green, etc.
After the pledge, the guest impressed upon all to stick to the points as mentioned in the Pledge and set an example of the healthy and prosperous nation on 75 th year of Independence, paving the way towards the 100th year in 2047. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Sarpanch of Panchayat Halqa.
