In connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Pran Pledge was conducted at Nowgam by RDD, Srinagar Under Meri Mati Mera Desh. The venue for the event was: Panchayat Ghar: Nowgam. The Chief guest for the event was Prabhari Officer of Nowgam. The Panchayat Officials like Panchayat Inspector, Panchayat Inspector, Gram Rozgaar Sahayak and Panchayati Raj Institutions like Sarpanch and Panches were among all who attended the event. During the event, all the participants gathered at the Panchayat Ghar where they warmly welcomed the chief guest with their welcome address. After that, there was the address by the worthy chief guest on the occasion. In his address, he said that India is eager to achieve the milestones in the path of the developmental process. Rural people are not far from contributing to the nation’s development. He also impressed upon the students to be the mediums for the positive propagation of elements of Meri Mati Mera Desh. He said that the contribution of our great heroes cannot be discarded at the stage when India celebrates the 75th year of Independence. Then, the Pran Pledge ceremony was conducted in which they swore on different points like Making India a developed nation by 2047, uprooting castes and communal mindset, and performing duties of citizens of India with letter and spirit, etc. The event cumulated with the National Anthem ceremony. About more than 49 people participated in the event.
