In connection with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit , Mahotsav , a Kalash Yatra was organized by Rural Development Department- Harwan under Meri Mati, Mera Desh. The event took place near Dachigam National Park. The chief guest for the event was: DDC chairperson, Srinagar. The staff of the Department , the Panchayat Body , and the locals also participated in the event . In connection with the event , the participants carried out Kalash Yatra( Earthen Pot consisting soil ) in presence of the chief guest . The rally started from the National park of Dachigam. The main aim of conducting the event was the facilitation of the contributions of motherland of India. The participants were also carrying the banner of Swachta Hi Seva Hai . The people were made aware about patriotism and its implications in lives of the people in the society . The chief guest impressed upon all of them to respect the nation and its rich glory . He added that Cleanliness component cant ignored at the time when nation is on path of development on 75 th year of Independence. The rally ended near BDO office . The event concluded with vote of thanks by the Multi purpose worker. About more than 35 people participated in the event.
