Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav , Mitti ko Naman program was organized at Lasjan by Rural Development Department. The chief guest for the event was Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar- Zahoor Ahmed Mir , JKAS and the venue for the event was: CFC Building- Lasjan. The Assistant Commissioner Development , Srinagar , BDO concerned , The Panchayat Body consisting of DDC Member from Lasjan , Sarpanch and Panches of the wards and general public were all who were present on the occasion hosted by Block authorities . In connection with the summary of the event , the Assistant Commissioner Development, Srinagar officially commenced the event with his opening lines to mention the essence of the event . Thereafter, the chief guest was cordially invited on the dice . In his address , he in depth discussed the objectives of Meri Mati, Mera Desh . He said that the contribution of motherland and its debt cannot be payed by all of us. He further urged the participants to make sure that public if satisfied by the development process , will ultimately fulfill the dream of all those who fought for the sake of motherland. He also urged to inculcate the feeling of patriotism with them and multiple that in every section of the society. The event concluded with the pledge taking ceremony swearing taking soil in their palms and then National Anthem. About more than 46 people participated in the event.
