Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and celebration of 75 th year of Independence , the Drug De-addiction rally was conducted in Khanmoh. The event was hosted by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Block Khanmoh. The chief guest for the event was: Drug controller officer, Srinagar. Also, the officials of the Department , school and college students, Panchayati Raj Institutions and the locals of the Block were among the participants . During the event, the participants in presence of the chief guest started the rally from the Panchayat office, Khanmoh and they all proceeded towards further in the Block. They were carrying the banners and placards about the topic and objective of the event. Then after, the chief guest addressed the locals at the venue to make them aware about the negative effects of the any forms of drugs in the different age groups of the society . He impressed all to stick to the idea of –Say No To Drugs. He added that that ill effects of the drugs have adverse impact on the development of the youth of the country . He also urged all to engage themselves in the constructive activities of games and sports, singing , dancing etc so that the distraction towards any type of ill menace is avoided. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by the Secretary Panchayat. About more than 41 people participated in the event.
