Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and celebration of 75 th year of Independence , Nashamukht Abhiyan was conducted in Harwan . The venue for the event was: Panchayat Office : Dara and the chief guest was: Nodal Officer , Narco Coordination centre , Srinagar. In addition, the Block Development Officer along with concerned officials , college students and the Panchayati Raj Institutions were among the participants at the venue. In context to the event that indeed was related to awareness against Drug addiction in the society. The Panchayat Inspector of the Block at first had an introduction with the participants to mention the aim and objectives of the event. Then, the worthy chief guest was invited on the dice. In address , he mentioned the ill effects of drug addiction on every age group especially youth. He impressed upon the youth to remain away from menace of any form of drugs so that the society is well developed and cultured . He also urged the officials to set up the drug de-addiction centers to identify the victims for early remedies . Later on, the pamphlets related to Drug ill effects were distributed among the participants . The event concluded with the vote of thanks by the Panchayat Secretary. About more than 39 people participated in the event .
