Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Meri Maati , Mera Desh event was conducted in Panchayat Halqa – Nowgam – A of Block Srinagar. The event was conducted in the Panchayat Secretariat that is Candid Higher Secondary School, Nowgam Bypass. The chief guest for the event was: DDC vice chairperson Srinagar. Also the Panchayat Body and the locals of Halqa also were present on the occasion . In the backdrop of the event ,there was an introductory speech by the chief guest regarding the objective of the event . In his speech , he emphasized on the essence of patriotism among the masses that needs to be propagated with letter and spirit. He further added that , when India is celebrating the 75 th year of independence , the role of our freedom fighters can’t be ignored. He urged the participants to respect the motherland and encourage others for the same. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by the Secretary of the Panchayat followed by the singing of National Anthem . About more than 23 people participated in the event.
