Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Veeron Ko Naman program was conducted by the Rural Development Department, Srinagar Block. The venue for the event was the Panchayat office: in Lasjan. The chief guest for the event was: Prabhari Officer of Lasjan- Mr. Gulzar Ahmed Dar, JKAS (Additional Director, SKIMS).
Also, the Block Development Officer, officials, the general public, and the Panchayati Raj Institutions were also present to grace the occasion. In context to the event, the Block Development Officer officially started the event by mentioning the aim of organizing the event.Then, after he introduced the chief guest at the venue.
During his interaction, he addressed the participants about the essence of the topic of the event. Then, he also mentioned that as India is celebrating the 75th year of Independence, the role and contribution of our great freedom fighters and martyrs can’t be denied. He added that it is because of the sacrifice of our great heroes, that we made a path toward self-governance for India. He impressed upon the participants to inculcate the feeling of patriotism within them and propagate their love towards the motherland. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem by the participants. More than 36 people participated in the event
