Every year, the first week of September is celebrated as National nutrition week across the country. Nursing College GMC Doda also celebrated it with great enthusiasm under the guidance of worthy Dean and Principal GMC Doda Dr. Puja Vimesh.
The theme for the National Nutrition Week 2023 is “Healthy diet- affordable for all”
A Healthy Recipe Competition was conducted on 6th September 2023. The response was encouraging as a total of 32 B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students of Nursing College GMC Doda which is divided into 5 Groups in the name of Team A “Diabetes Mellitus” under the supervision of Team incharge Mr. Ahrar Ahmed Dev, Tutor Nursing College GMC Doda, Team B “Chronic Kidney Disease” under the supervision of team incharge “Manisha Manhas” Tutor Nursing College Doda, Team C “Cardio Vascular Disease” under the supervision of team incharge Ms. Rifat Naz, Tutor Nursing College Doda, Team D “ Fatty Liver under the supervision of Team incharge Ms. Reeta devi and Sandiya Kotwal Tutor Nursing Collge Doda and Team E “Anemia” under the supervision of team incharge Ms. Simran Parihar and Abra Naz Tutor Nursing College Doda participated in the event very enthusiastically.
By keeping today’s competition theme in mind various handy and delicious recipes were prepared by the students using the concept of “Healthy diet-affordable for all”. The competition was judged by Dr.Safia Khan HOD Microbiology, Dr Mir Kaiser Ahmed HOD Biochemistry and Dr. Garima Charak, HOD Physiology GMC Doda. The prizes for commendable efforts were given to a Winner and Runner up group from Nursing College GMC Doda.
The whole event was supervised by Dr.Suresh K Kotwal Coordinator Nursing College Doda, Dr. Waleed Balwan Academic Registrar GMC Doda, Dt. Nasir Nabi Batt Dietician A.H GMC Doda and other faculty of Govt. Nursing College Doda.
The recipes were delectable and the judges had tough time to zero in on the winners.
