Jammu & Kashmir

September 02, 2023

Digital Week is being celebrated throughout the district with great enthusiasm in a commendable initiative spearheaded by the UT administration. Three days Digital Mela, to create mass awareness and give handholding to the users for availing digital services, concluded today at Community Hall Doda, successfully, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan. The primary goal was to acquaint the public with the latest online services available in every Government Department including the ADBHUD DODA campaign. The event culminated with a grand closing ceremony, led by ADDC Doda, Pran Singh.
The activities under Digital Week 2023 shall continue throughout the district to bring digital services closer to the people. The three-day Digital Mela, which ran from August 31st to September 2nd, 2023, aimed to raise awareness about the significance and benefits of digital services across various government departments.
During this engaging event, students from different schools and colleges, along with the general public, gathered to learn about the digital services offered by the district administration. Government officers and officials from various departments were present to guide people in accessing these digital services with ease.
The heart of the event featured stalls representing different government departments, such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Banking (including State Bank of India), PHE (Public Health Engineering), Food and Civil Supplies, Social Welfare, RDD (Rural Development Department), Panchayat Raj, Labor, Sericulture, Fisheries, Sheep Husbandry, Legal Metrology, Urban Dev Department, Youth Services and Sports, PDD (Power Development Department), health, MVD, and DE&CC. These stalls provided valuable information about accessing government services online.
One striking aspect of the event was the enthusiastic participation of local students and unemployed individuals, both men and women, eager to explore the latest online services offered by the Doda district administration. The stalls were well-equipped with informative booklets detailing each department's services.
On the 3rd day of the event, a concluding ceremony focused on enhancing digital literacy and awareness among the district's residents. Government officials, private individuals, students, and the public attended.
