Under the program of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav, the Vigilance awareness program was conducted in Block, Harwan with aim “Felicitation of day for freedom from Corruption”. The venue for the event was: Block Development Office, Harwan. The chief guest of the event was: DDC chairperson of Srinagar. In addition, the Block Development Officer, Srinagar along with the official and field staff was present. The chief guest had an introductory interaction with all the officials/participants in which he highlighted the importance of the day in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the corruption has become a menace in the governance. This menace has made the base of national ethics hollow from inside were corruption has been injected in every level of the governance and the public. The guest impressed upon the participants to enact the formula of “No Corruption “in their work ethics and propagate this idea in public during governance. The event concluded with the Pledge taking on “No Corruption” by the participants in which they resolved to act upon the theme in letter and spirit when nation is celebrating the 75 th year of independence. About more than 20 people participated in the event.
