As part of India’s G20 Presidency and on the glorious occasion of 75 years of India’s Independence being celebrated as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), the Embassy of India, Riyadh in collaboration with Saudi authorities organized a Mega Beach Cleanup Campaign at the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia on 22 May 2023.
Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan led the beach cleaning event. The event was participated by Embassy officials with their families, School children from International Indian Schools, Saudi nationals. Dornier Air crew with INAS 314 Commanding Officer Commander Rahul Upadhyay also participated in the cleaning event.
During his remark, Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan spoke about the importance marine ecosystem clean and the importance of keeping it clean and sustainable. Principal of International Indian School Jubail also spoke about the beach cleaning campaign.
