Quiz Competition held on Women Freedom Fighters of Idia in GPS Thandwal Samba under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The programme organised under the supervision of principal of school and staff members of school and also principal of school delivered a lecture on Women of India and their important work for our country freedom. Indian women played a pivotal role in the Indian freedom movement against British rule. They participated in various forms of protest including civil disobedience, non-violent resistance, and boycotts. Most importantly, freedom fighters inspired and motivated others to fight injustice. They are the pillars behind the freedom movement. They made people aware of their rights and their power. It is all because of the freedom fighters that we prospered into a free country free from any kind of colonizers or injustice. 

The queen of the princely state of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai is known for her role in the First War of India’s Independence in 1857. 
Born Manikarnika Tambe in 1835, she married the king of Jhansi- Maharaja Gangadhar Rao Newalka. The couple adopted a son (Damodar Ra)before the king’s death, which the British East India Company refused to accept as the legal heir and decided to annex Jhansi.
