The Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs in Budgam held an awareness camp with
online service at Chrarisareef Tehsil of Budgam District to mark Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The general
public that attended the aforementioned camp was made aware of the programmes and services that
the Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs provides. The participants learned more
about their privileges and rights as consumers. NFSA 2013 was also briefly presented, along with
specifics on the free food grain policy that went into force on January 1, 2023. The scheme One Nation,
One Ration Card and its discussed in detail, through this scheme the Ration Card would become
nationalized under this arrangement, enabling users to utilize them at any PDS sale-out. The provision of
