Swachhagraha event organized on 5th March 2022 under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ attempts to increase awareness about the significance of Swacchta and Swadhinta among the citizens of the country. The foundation of the cleanliness initiative ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’ was laid by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2nd October 2014. The scope of this mission was to make our villages, Gram Panchayats, Districts, States, and Union Territories "open-defecation free" over the next five years by constructing over 100 million toilets in rural India. The Swacchgraha mission, in collaboration with the Sulabh International Foundation, shall focus on accelerating the efforts for enlightening our citizens towards a cleaner India.
