The Rashtriya Boudhik Sampada Mahotsav (National Intellectual Property Festival) was organized under one of the nine themes namely, AtmaNirbhar Bharat, of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This theme plays a significant role in fostering self-reliance and promoting indigenous development in India. With a vision to build a strong and self-sufficient nation, the focus is on showcasing efforts that encourage entrepreneurship, celebrate local research and innovation, enable the filing of patents, trademarks, etc. fosters skill development across various sectors, and more.
The aim was to establish an ecosystem that empowers individuals and businesses to thrive independently, reducing dependency on imports and harnessing the potential of local resources. Through initiatives like Startup India, Make in India, and Skill India, Atmanirbharta-based initiatives strive to enhance economic growth, create job opportunities, and showcase India's capabilities on a global stage. In this context, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) assume high significance.
