Paying tribute to India’s freedom fighters

Badri Narayan Barnwal was a freedom fighter and son of Jagarnath Modi. He belonged originally to Manjhiladih, Saarwan, Deogarh, and Jharkhand. His wife’s name was Indrani Devi. He was involved in the freedom movement from student life. He had contributed to 1942, Quit India Movement. During this revolution burned the post office, robbed the grain store, uprooting the railway track was done by him. During the Quit India Movement, he was sent to Dumka Jail. For his contribution to independence, he received a copper plate from Prime Minister Lt. Indira Gandhi on August 15, 1972. He died in 1981.
