Unsung Heroes Detail

He was born in Shrikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh he emerged as a revolutionary leader. When Mahatma Gandhi toured Srikalahastii, Venkatachalapathi arranged mass boycott of foreign goods. He was arrested during the quit India movement for his revolutionary activism. Another aspect of Venkatachalsapathi was his reaching out to Dalit. He established the Harijan Seva Society, as part of the Gandhian reconstruction programme, and fought for Dalit entry into temples.
