Rampreet Singh

Patna, Bihar

September 18, 2023 to September 18, 2024

Rampreet Singh was born in 1929 at Ranipur Village, under Phulwari police station. At the age of just 14, he had a passion for patriotism. He studied till the fifth grade and later got a job in railroads, but he did not accept the job. Due to the hatred and anger in his heart against the British, he chose to give his life in the freedom struggle. He joined the war against the British in 1942 and contributed greatly. Later, he was caught and sentenced to eighteen months in prison for participating in the 1942 riots. Even in jail, he chose agitations like going on a fast, raising slogans of revolution, and doing many other jail agitations, due to which the British people gave him severe punishment, including his followers or supporters, and they suffered the same eighteen-month prison sentence as he did, which was very painful in their lives.

He got married after he was released from prison. His wife's name was Najeshwari Devi. He died in 1963.
