Dattaraya Vasedeo Parchure was born and raised in Satara, Parchure was deeply committed to the cause of Indian independence and actively participated in various activities of the civil disobedience movement.

However, his involvement in the movement came at a cost. Like many other freedom fighters, Parchure was arrested and sent to Yerwada prison. Despite being released a few days later on the condition of reporting himself to the local police station, Parchure refused to comply with the British authorities. As a result, he was sentenced to one year of rigorous imprisonment and inflicted with a fine of one hundred rupees. Despite being offered the dissolution of his sentence if he severed his contacts with the civil disobedience movement, Parchure refused to compromise his principles and continued to fight for India's freedom.

In conclusion, Dattaraya Vasedeo Parchure, born and raised in Satara, demonstrated a strong commitment to Indian independence through his active participation in the civil disobedience movement, facing imprisonment and a fine for his unwavering principles.
