The `Har Ghar Tiranga` campaign under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated across Jammu and Kashmir. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture, and achievements.
In District Shopian, the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign was started by the students of various schools across the District. The staff members also participated in this campaign.
The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the people's hearts and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. Our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of an act of personal connection to the Tiranga and an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building.
