World Peace Day celebrated at GMS Bhaddal Rupnagar

Punjab

August 05, 2022 to August 06, 2022

World Peace Day celebrated Govt. Middle school Bhaddal, Rupnagar.
The International Day of Peace (or World Peace Day) celebrated annually on September 21 is devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. For International Day of Peace 2022, the theme is 'End Racism. Build Peace'. The United Nations state that this is a date dedicated to strengthening the ideals of peace through a non-violent period of a 24-hour cease-fire.
Peace is the bold, courageous and ultimate response to the notion that violence provides any viable solution to the conflicts of our world. Where war destroys and tears apart, peace builds, strengthens, and restores
The International Day of Peace was established in 1981 by the United Nations General Assembly. Two decades later, in 2001, the General Assembly unanimously voted to designate the Day as a period of non-violence and cease-fire.

The United Nations invites all nations and people to honor a cessation of hostilities during the Day and to otherwise commemorate the Day through education and public awareness on issues related to peace.
