Webinar on ‘Atmanirbharta in Science’ at AMD, Hyderabad.
Atomic Minerals Directorate for Exploration and Research (AMD), Hyderabad, a constituent unit of Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), in association with Indian Nuclear Society (INS), Hyderabad Branch organised the inaugural webinar on ‘Atmanirbharta in Science’ series as part of ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations in AMD on 25.08.2021.
The main function was held in Dr. Homi J. Bhabha Auditorium in the premises of AMD Headquarters, Hyderabad, which was webcast over an online platform.
Several dignitaries, including the Chief Guest Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) and Secretary, DAE and Shri K.N. Vyas, Chairman, AEC and Secretary, DAE joined the proceedings through virtual mode.The Guests of Honour, Dr. Dinesh Srivastava, Chairman and Chief Executive, NFC and Rear Admiral Sanjay Chaubey, Chairman and Managing Director, ECIL along with Dr. D.K. Sinha, Director, AMD and Chairman, INS, Hyderabad Branch; Additional Directors, AMD Shri B. Saravanan, Dr. T.S. Sunil Kumar and Shri R. Mamallan graced the occasion with their presence. Senior officials of AMD and Members of INS were present in the audience, while a large number of participants joined the webinar from various parts of the country.
Dr. D.K. Sinha welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. The inaugural address was delivered by Shri K.N. Vyas. The Chief Guest, Dr. Anil Kakodkar in his talk ‘Atmanirbhar in Atomic Energy to Atmanirbhar in Clean Energy’ highlighted the progress achieved by India in attaining energy security through self-reliance in nuclear power generation and the renewable clean and green energy resources along with decarbonisation technologies. Thereafter, the Guest of Honour Rear Admiral Sanjay Chaubey addressed the audience. Dr. T.S. Sunil Kumar, Secretary, INS, Hyderabad Branch proposed the vote of thanks.The programme concluded with the rendering of national anthem.

परमाणु ऊर्जा विभाग (प.ऊ.वि.) की घटक इकाई, परमाणु खनिज अन्वेषण एवं अनुसंधान निदेशालय (प.ख.नि.), हैदराबाद ने इंडियन न्यूक्लियर सोसाइटी (आई.एन.एस.), हैदराबाद शाखा के सहयोग से 25.08.2021 को प.ख.नि. के 'आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव' समारोह के अंतर्गत 'विज्ञान में आत्म निर्भरता' श्रृंखला पर प्रारम्भिक वेबिनार का आयोजन किया।
मुख्य समारोह डॉ. होमी जे. भाभा सभागार, प.ख.नि.मुख्यालय, हैदराबाद के परिसर में आयोजित किया गया जिसे एक ऑनलाइन प्लेटफॉर्म पर वेबकास्ट किया गया।
मुख्य अतिथि पद्मविभूषण डॉ. अनिल काकोडकर, पूर्व अध्यक्ष, परमाणु ऊर्जा आयोग (प.ऊ.आ.) और सचिव, प.ऊ.वि. और श्री के.एन. व्यास, अध्यक्ष, प.ऊ.आ. और सचिव, प.ऊ.वि. वर्चुअल मोड के माध्यम से कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए। विशिष्ट अतिथि डॉ. दिनेश श्रीवास्तव, अध्यक्ष और मुख्यकार्यकारी, एन.एफ.सी. और रियर एडमिरल संजय चौबे, अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक, ई.सी.आई.एल. के साथ डॉ. डी.के. सिन्हा, निदेशक, प.ख.नि. और अध्यक्ष, आई.एन.एस., हैदराबाद शाखा; अतिरिक्त निदेशक, प.ख.नि. श्री बी. सरवणन, डॉ. टी.एस. सुनील कुमार और श्री आर. मामल्लन ने अपनी उपस्थिति से इस अवसर की शोभा बढ़ाई। श्रोतागण में प.ख.नि. के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी और आई.एन.एस. के सदस्य मौजूद थे, जबकि देश के विभिन्न भागों से बड़ी संख्या में प्रतिभागी वेबिनार में शामिल हुए।
डॉ. डी.के. सिन्हा ने गणमान्य व्यक्तियों और उपस्थित लोगों का स्वागत किया। उद्घाटन भाषण श्री के.एन. व्यास द्वारा प्रस्तुत किया गया। मुख्य अतिथि, डॉ. अनिल काकोडकर ने अपनी वार्ता 'परमाणु ऊर्जा में आत्मानिर्भर से स्वच्छ ऊर्जा में आत्मानिर्भर' में परमाणु ऊर्जा उत्पादन में आत्मनिर्भरता और अक्षय, स्वच्छ और हरित ऊर्जा संसाधनों के साथ-साथ डीकार्बोनाइजेशन प्रौद्योगिकियों के माध्यम से ऊर्जा सुरक्षा प्राप्त करने में भारत की प्रगति पर प्रकाश डाला। इसके बाद विशिष्ट अतिथि रियर एडमिरल संजय चौबे ने श्रोतागण को संबोधित किया। डॉ. टी.एस. सुनीलकुमार, सचिव, आई.एन.एस., हैदराबाद शाखा ने धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव रखा। राष्ट्रगान की प्रस्तुति के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ।
