The Embassy organized a business outreach meeting with the gems and jewelry importers & producers in Lebanon under the aegis of the syndicate of jewelers led by its President Mr. Boghos Khurdian. Intense discussion took place on enhancing cooperation and bilateral trade in this sector. Ambassador gave an overview of the gems and jewelry sector from India and spoke about the complementarities between India and Lebanon in this sector. Gems and jewelry are one of the largest exports of Lebanon. At present, the Lebanese producers are looking at the import of materials as well as machinery from India in this sector.
