UCO RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) Rupnagar has imparted beauty parlor training to 35 girls from BPL families. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, the RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute) Rupnagar is sponsored by Lead Bank UCO Bank Ropar.Mr. Durgesh Kapoor, Director, UCO RSETI said that UCO RSETI has imparted beauty parlor courses to the very poor girls belonging to BPL. In which girls from villages Panjola, Mianpur, Purkhali, Bheora, Sukhrampur Taprian, Bardar, Daburji, Khwaspura, Bajidpur, Silomasko, Shampura etc. were given 30 days training from May 20, 2022 to June 22, 2022. In which 35 students from Rupnagar district participated. He said that girls from different villages of Rupnagar district were registered in this institute for training. During the training, Principal Trainer Mr. Karan Bhandari informed the girls about financial literacy and moral education.
Mr. Durgesh Kapoor also given information and knowledge about deposit accounts and loan schemes for banking and becoming a good entrepreneur. The girls were also given certificates after the training. The girls attending the training are provided free tea and lunch as well as round trip bus fare.He said that the aspiring students between the ages of 18 to 45 years who belong to BPL group can register their names on contact number/mobile numbers: 01881-295091, 7508010020 or come to the office and register themselves. The next training programs are diary farming and sewing which will start soon.
