A farmer training camp under the banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was organised on dated 12-05-2022 at Village Arjanwal block Adampur (Jalandhar). This camp was presided over by Dr. Gurinderjit Singh Agriculture Officer Training Jalandhar. He discusses the direct seeding of rice method with the farmers in detail. He told the farmers that the DSR technique saves water, Labour cost & electricity. For Successful cultivation of Rice with this technique, every point should be discussed with the experts & follow the recommendations of PAU. Dr. Malwinder Singh Agriculture Officer Training discussed the Agronomic practices & Insect pests of Kharif Crops. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Assistant Marketing Officer Jalandhar told the farmers that they should bring the crops for harvesting in dry conditions. So that there could not be any problem in the Mandi for purchasing of Crop. He also discussed the Mandi Kharche with farmers. Dr. Gurcharan Singh Agriculture development Officer Training told the farmers about the importance of Soil testing & method of taking samples in the field. Sh. Jatinder Kumar AEO Adampur conducted the stage & say a vote of Thanks to the experts & the farmers. About 100 farmers have participated in this camp.
