According to the instructions of the Punjab Government, Municipal Council President Mr. Sanjay Sahni and Executive Officer Mr. Ravneet Singh ji, the Municipal Council Nangal, keeping the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign in mind, today the Municipal Council checked SUP in various vegetable markets and plastic packing drive was conducted.
To make people aware of waste segregation, compost prepared from wet waste was distributed by the municipal council in different markets and appealed to people to prepare this compost in their homes so that wet waste can be disposed of at home.
Along with this, the wet waste collected from different wards was put into compost pits and the prepared compost was filtered and packed and dry waste like SUP, plastic bottles etc. was made into bales.
