District Administration has celebrated National Panchayat Day 2022 in SPSR Nellore District in Tikkana Pranganam, Collectorate, Nellore.
Sri Kakani Govardhan Reddy AP Agriculture Minister, Sri KVN Chakradhar Babu IAS District Collector, Sri Mekapati ChandrasekharReddy Udayagiri MLA, Joint Collector, District Panchayat Officer, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer, and other District level officials were attended.
National Panchayati Raj Day is celebrated every year on April 24 to raise awareness about the panchayats and gram sabhas along with local self-governments in rural India.
The Constitution (73rd Amendment) Act, 1992 which came into force with effect on 24th April, 1993 has vested constitutional status on Panchayati Raj institutions. This date thus marks a defining moment in the history of decentralization of political power to the grassroots level. The impact of the 73rd Amendment in rural India is very visible as it has changed power equations irreversibly.
Accordingly, the Government of India decided in consultation with the States to celebrate 24th of April as National Panchayati Raj Day. The commemoration is being anchored by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
NATIONAL PANCHAYATI RAJ DAY 2022:
Hon'ble PM Sri Modi addressed the Nation from Jammu and Kashmir and all gram sabhas of the country from there.
In the view of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the year is really special during the National Panchyati Raj Day. The awards are categorized in the following manner:

• Child-friendly Panchayat Award
• Gram Panchayat Development Plan Award

District Level to Gram Panchayat Level Programmes.
National Panchayati Raj Day 2022 was celebrated in the Nellore district at the Collectorate as well as in all Gram Panchayats.
The event, which was held on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrita Mahotsav, discussed the achievements of the Panchayati Raj institutions and the objectives to be achieved.
In particular, as part of the pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals, the 9 Themes to be achieved were discussed.
It was suggested that 9 themes be discussed in all the Grama Panchayats in the district and a resolution be passed to achieve them in order of priority.
Afterward, on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, the awards ceremony was held for the award-winning Grama Panchayati teams.

AP Agriculture Minister Shri Kakani Govardhan Reddy are said on the occasion of panchayat raj day, "As part of the transfer of powers under Schedule 11 of the Constitution, the Village Secretariat System has been set up as part of the administration to provide decentralized, transparent, and accountable civic services.". The system of Village Secretariat and Village Volunteers set up by the State Government has guided many states in the country in providing quality services to the people and coordinating the welfare and development programs of the Central and State Governments in coordination between the various departments at the village level.
