Kalanjali programme on Mar 25/26 will have two components :
The first component will be based on Ghadar poetry. The second component will be based on female folk singers of India.
25th March
In the first component of the programme Dr. Shobha Koser , renowned Kathak Dance exponent will present Bhav based on Ghadar poetry of the Freedom Struggle of India .
Her dance is based on the patriotic and revolutionary poetry of the Ghadar Movement .
This part will conclude with a tribute to the sacrifice and the bravery of Rani Laxmi Bai.
Second Part will be showcasing the Baul singing of West Bengal by famous Baul singer Dipannita Acharya and Gojari singing of Jammu and Kashmir by Praveena Choudhry.
26 March
The first part of the programme will be focussing on Ghadar Movement poetry songs by Dr Kumud Diwan.
Dr. Kumud Diwan will present patriotic songs of the Ghadar Movement to pay homage to the Krantikaris and Shaheeds of the Freedom Struggle .
The Ghadar Movement saw much in poetic expression and quite a bit of this came from Punjab . “ Ghadar Ki Goonj” a poetic compilation was published in 1914.
Through the singing of the patriotic Ghadar songs the singer will pay homage to our martyrs and freedom fighters.
She will conclude her programme with a Chaiti folk song.
The second part of the programme will have Kajri songs by the renowned singer, Sanjoli Pandey and Kumaoni songs by the melodious singer Maya Upadhyay.
