An awareness camp was organised under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsav (AKAM) as a part of Jan Abhiyan on 24-01-2023 at Ramban by the General Manager of the District Industries Centre, Ramban to appraise various schemes being implemented by Industries and Commerce Department in Manufacturing and service sectors along with PMEGP scheme.
General Manager DIC Ramban informed them about various schemes being implemented by the State and Central Government. The General Public were told about various benefits/subsidies they can get by registering themselves with the DIC Ramban. While highlighting various schemes, General Manager also informed them that they can start their small ventures in PMEGP Scheme and MSME under Manufacturing and service sectors.
One person namely Mr. Udham Singh has been motivated to start his own venture and a case under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation (PMEGP) has been sponsored by Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Ukhral for the establishment of Karyana at Khadmullah Tehsil Ukhral District Ramban involving Project cost to the tune of Rs. 05.00 Lakh, Margin Money/subsidy Rs. 1.25 lakh which includes 02 No. of persons who got employment opportunities as per the project report.
