Ambassador Srivastava and Mr. Deepak Bagla, CEO & MD of Invest India, met with Mr. Božidar Poldrugač, Board member of Končar Group, which products & projects are exported in more than 100 countries including India ️, to discuss investment opportunities worth USD 1.5 Tn under the National Infrastructure Pipeline of #NewIndia. Mr. Bagla praised Končar's wish to be a partner in India’s growth story through various sectors including Infrastructure, Mobility & the Energy transition sector. In his interactions, Mr. Bagla told that India's manufacturing capabilities are reflected in the country's diversified export portfolio, which includes growth in high-tech goods, electronic products, and agricultural goods. India is also entering into free-trade agreements (FTAs) with many nations, which aim to increase the amount of value-added goods exported from the country and the amount of finished or intermediate goods exported. The increase in exports assumes the computation of the direct employment effect, which implies an equivalent production increase. With a focus on value-added industries, India is creating an ecosystem in which the government and businesses support each other and ensure that new jobs are designed for the youth of India.
