National Youth Day celebrations organized by Embassy of India in Japan

'The Mission organized the 25th National Youth Day and 159th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in a befitting manner. The inaugural of PM's ceremony was live-streamed on Mission's social media accounts, as also the information was widely disseminated to the Indian Diaspora and friends of India in Japan. Several short videos were curated by the Youth in Japan on the following three themes: Contribution of youth to nation-building; (ii) One change you would like to bring in the world, and (iii) Role of youth in achieving SDGs. Indian schools and Indian professionals in Japan, as also young Indian students in University of Tokyo and Tokyo Institute of Technology participated. Some youthful performances by Indian and Japanese students of Indian culture were also organized on the occasion. A playlist of all videos has been created on Mission's Youtube channel. Further, to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary, VCC released a video performance by Odissi artist Mr. Sourav Mohanty on the occasion of this occasion. The Mission also released videos showing the interest in Indian traditional sports in Japan amongst the youth here like, Malkhamb, Kabaddi, etc.
