Year End Review 2022: 112 food processing projects were completed/operationalized by MOFPI last year. These include Mega Food Park - 1, Cold Chain - 15, Units - 71, APC - 4, Food Testing Laboratories - 20, and Backward and Forward Linkage Projects - 1. As a part of Amrit Mahotsav, Food Processing Week 2 was organized by the Ministry in the year 2022, under the ‘Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari’ campaign, in which Union Minister Shri Pashupati Kumar Paras virtually inaugurated 75 projects. A total of 182 applications have been cleared by MOFPI under the PLI Scheme last year, highlighting the potential for job creation under the scheme.
Year End 2022: A total of 112 food processing projects were completed/operationalized. A total of 190 food processing projects were sanctioned by MOFPI last year. These include Agro-Processing Clusters: 23, Cold Chain: 33, Units: 120, Food Testing Laboratories: 12, Mega Food Park: 2. term interventions i.e. value chain development under “Operation Greens” scheme has been expanded from TOP crops to 22 Crops by MOFPI in last year. The export of Processed-Food Products has increased from US$ 8.56 billion in 2020-21 to US$ 10.42 Billion by MOFPI in 2021-22. 24 editions of the PMFME Scheme E-Newsletter have been successfully published and reached more than 7 lakh stakeholders by MOFPI in the last year.
Year End Review 2022: 12 brands have been launched to promote various ODOP under the Branding & Marketing component of the scheme by MOFPI in last year. NIFTEM, Haryana entered into research collaborations by signing MoUs with 3 Institutions outside India and 16 Institutions within India in last year.
Last year MOFPI's institute NIFTEM, Tnjavur conducted 29 skill development training programs in different technologies to research scholars, students and interested entrepreneurs. Campaigns on 'World Food Day', 'Women's Day', Swachhta Campaign, etc. in the past year's social media handles of MOFPI.
MOFPI's Union Minister Shri Pashupati Kumar Paras inaugurated 'NIFTEM Capacity Building Centre' in the past year.
