O.K. Ramaswamy Gounder was born on 21st August 1907 at Velayuthampalayam, Tamil Nadu. He was a follower of Gandhiji and participated in Quit India Movement in 1942. He was arrested and sentenced to four months’ imprisonment. He passed away on 7th September 2001.
