Located in Chapekar Wada, the Chapekar Museum tells the history of a few Maharashtrian freedom fighters, focusing on the life of the Chapekar brothers. Damodar Hari, Balkrishna Hari and Vasudev Hari Chapekar had come with their family to Chinchwad in 1830. The museum hosts a range of beautiful maps, infographics, photographs and statues of some of the legends of the Indian freedom movement.

The wada was converted into a museum to mitigate its deteriorating condition. It has been jointly constructed by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and the Chapekar Smarak Samiti. At the museum, one can see a large variety of articles used by freedom fighters, such as swords, guns, etc. It also houses a devghar (temple) made by the Chapekar Brothers.
