He belonged to village Virpind in district Jalandhar, Punjab. His father was Jiwan Singh and he was living as a civilian in Singapore. Ajaib Singh responded to Netaji’s call and joined the Azad Hind Fauj in 1943. He fought against the British in Burma and died at the battle field in 1945.
