Paying tribute to India’s freedom fighters

Jagannath Jha was a freedom fighter and son of the Late Rajkumar Jha. His wife's name was Chohara Devi. He was originally from Rohini, Jharkhand and his date of birth is 6 May 1910. He was originally from Bihar and had contributed to the 1942 Quit India Movement. He was educated till the seventh standard at middle school Rohini. During the movement, he was sent to Central Jail, Bhagalpur jail on 17/12/1942 for one year. He was involved in burning the Post Office and Grain Gola. He was in contact with Gandhiji. He was a true follower of Gandhiji and followed the path of truth similar to Gandhiji. He was the chief freedom fighter of Rohini. For his contribution to independence, he received a copper plate from Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on 15 August 1972. He died on 26 September 1992.
