Paying tribute to India’s freedom fighters

Ram Avatar Singh was a freedom fighter and the son of Ramdas Singh. His wife’s name is Mrs. Neelam Singh. He had contributed to the 1942 Quit India Movement. He was MLA from Jamshedpur East Constituency from 1962-1967 and 1972-1977. He was EX- MLA of East Jamshedpur from CPI Party. He was in contact with Gandhiji. He was a true follower of Gandhiji and followed the path of truth similar to that of Gandhiji. He was also one of the freedom fighters from Jamshedpur amongst all other freedom fighters. He went to Bhojpur Central Jail and Patna Central Jail in 1942. He did receive copper plates and also received a pension from the Indian Government. His documents are present with the Bihar Government. He was a social worker and a farmer. He belonged to a very poor family and was educated till the 10th Standard. He died on 23 December 2011.
