Paying tribute to India’s freedom fighters

Shivji Prasad Shah

Dhanbad, Jharkhand

Shivji Prasad shah was a freedom fighter of Sindri, Dhanbad, and Jharkhand. His ancestral home was at Shah Dumri, Buxar, Bihar. In 1950 he came to Sindri, Dhanbad, and settled here. He had two daughters namely Meena Devi, and Neelam Devi, and had two sons Virendra Prasad shah and Krishnaji Prasad Sah. Shivji Prasad Shah was born in 1919. He had participated in the 1942 Quit India Movement and went to Beur jail, Patna where Laxman Dubey was along with him Patna jail. He received a pension from the Government in 1974. He worked as a third-grade operator in Urea bagging. His code No/Ticket No. was 130531 and his PPO no. was 12135. At Kalyan Kendra Sindri, he hoisted the National flag along with the railway minister Shree Ram Shubag Singh. He died in 1988.
