He was born in Lahore on 7 December 1907. He joined the revolutionary movement with the influence of Bhagwati Charan Vohra. He was with Chandrashekhar Azad in Allahabad on 27 February 1931, when Azad was martyred and Azad forced him to flee from there. He was jailed for six years in two terms. In post-revolutionary life under the influence of Vinoba Bhave, he came to Durg to serve the leprosy patients and set up an ashram for them. He passed away in Durg on 5 July 1973.
