Prime Minister dedicates new Parliament building to the nation

Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the new Parliament building to the nation on 28th May 2023.
He placed the Sengol with Nandi facing east-west direction in the new Parliament House. While congratulating everyone on the glorious occasion, the Prime Minister highlighted the event as the date of the immortal signature on the face of time. He added, “People of India have given themselves a gift for the Amrit Mahotsav”.
While applauding the new Parliament building, he said that this is not just a building but the temple of our democracy that showcases India’s resolution to the world. It connects planning to reality, policy to realization, willpower to execution, and Sankalp to Siddhi.
Highlighting the establishment of the Sengol, the Prime Minister said that the Sengol is seen as a symbol of service and duty to the nation and shall inspire the proceedings of the house.
He applauded the ‘Shramiks’ who contributed to the construction of the New Parliament building. More than 60,000 Shramiks were given employment during the Parliament construction process.
The Prime Minister concluded his address by saying that the new Parliament building will give new energy and strength to the largest democracy in the world.
