Campaigns under ‘Inclusive Development’ theme launched by Prime Minister

Hon’ble Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of several projects on National Panchayati Raj Day in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh on 24th April 2023. More than 30 lakh Panchayats from all over the country collectively showcased the diversity of India’s democracy. The Inclusive Development theme was launched as a part of ongoing campaigns under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Highlighting Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’s focus on the same, the Prime Minister added that each and every citizen of the country is working towards the common goal of serving the nation.
The Prime Minister also launched eGramSwaraj and GeM portal for the process of public procurement at the Panchayat level. This launch will ease the working of local Panchayats. In his address, he mentioned that merely 6000 Panchayat Bhawans were present in the country before 2014, which has increased to more than 30,000 Panchayat Bhawans in the last eight years. He continued by saying that earlier less than 70 Gram Panchayats were connected with Optical fiber whereas today more than 2 lakh Gram Panchayats have been connected with each other through this advanced technology. All these efforts collectively strengthen the focus on the ‘Inclusive Development’ of the country.
Prime Minister launched a campaign “विकास की ओर साझे क़दम” campaign under the theme ‘Inclusive Development’. The vision is to encourage people in being instrumental in the development of the nation.
