Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated in SPSR Nellore District, AP on December 07.
Flag day is mainly observed to serve three basic purposes that aka the rehabilitation of battle casualties, the welfare of serving personnel and their families, and resettlement and welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. It is a time for Indians to express their gratitude and appreciation to the current and veteran military personnel of India and to acknowledge those who died in service to the country.
Collector and district magistrate of SPS Nellore Sri KVN Chakradhar Babu, IAS has felicitated ex-servicemen/widows and their family members in the district collectorate Meeting Hall. District administration and the District Sainik Welfare Office have conducted this event.
