On completion of 75 years of Independence, the Ministry of Culture has prepared a list of activities in the event of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to celebrate the occasion. It is decided that the 6th December 2021 will be celebrated as Mahaparinirvan Diwas and the event will be led by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and all other Ministries and Department will also take part in the program.
In order to celebrate the event of Mahaparinirvan Diwas, all officers and staff of the Director-General of Lighthouses and Lightships assembled and pay tribute to Shri B.R. Ambedkar. The Director-General of Lighthouses and Lightships also addressed the staff about various struggles faced by Shri B.R. Ambedkar.
