Department of textiles and handicrafts celebrates AKAM at district sales emporium in Khonsa

Along with the rest of the districts of Arunachal Pradesh – Department of Textiles and Handicrafts, Tirap District celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) at District Sales Emporium, Khonsa on 2nd December 2021 in which all textiles and handicrafts products including 1. Wood Carving, 2. Weaving items, 3. Bead making product   4. Traditional touch bags, necklaces, gifts items were displayed and sold during the celebration.

As informed by ATH Smti Chanyuak Rajkumari good numbers of textiles & handicrafts items are sold at reasonable rates.

In his message - Tirap DC Taro Mize extended best wishes to the department of Textiles & Handicrafts on attaining 75 Years of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, he added that the department of Textiles & Handicrafts is doing tremendous work in motivating SHGs and dropout students by engaging in textiles and handicrafts as skilled craftsmen.

The program was hosted by Smti Chanyuak Rajkumari, ADTH, Smti Chokhen Rajkumari, DoTH, Shri V.K. Rai, Crafts Superintendent, Skilled Craftsmen of Weaving, Knitting, Wood Carving, Demonstrators, Salesgirl and trainees in which Shri Ponfrem Arangham, DDI, Er. Wangpong Rongrang, EE(PWD), Khonsa, Er. Bamang Tasung, EE (PHE&WS), Khonsa, Smti N. Matey, CDPO, Khonsa, Smti Monika Lowang Medam, Superintendent (Tax & Excise), Khonsa, Er. Yami Ronya, Proj. Officer (APEDA), Smti Mary Gibi Wangchha, DRO, Shri Gawang Sumpa, UDC representative from IPR, Khonsa attended the program.
