Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya chairs 12th Indian Organ Donation Day celebrations

“Jeete ji Raktdaan, Marne ke baad Angadaan: This should be the motto of our life.” Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister for Health and Family Welfare said this statement while addressing the 12th Indian Organ Donation Day in the presence of Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State.

Union Health Minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, and MoS, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar felicitated organ donors' families at the 12th Indian Organ Donation Day, in New Delhi. Dr. Bharati Pawar said that this noble act is no less than the concept of ‘Amaratva’ espoused in our scriptures. Organ donation is one more attempt given by nature to be altruistic and give back to society.

The guidelines of the National Organ Transplant Program were released on the occasion of 12th Indian Organ Donation Day by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar. These guidelines will serve as a guidance document for implementation of various components of the National Organ Transplant Program.
